We use the information we collect to:

  • Send our newsletter, including local outing ideas and educational activities
  • Reply to your messages and collaboration requests

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites work and remember information about your visit. We use:

  • Essential cookies that keep the website running, such as remembering items in your shopping cart and your cookie choice
  • Analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use our sites, such as which pages are popular
  • Affiliate cookies placed by affiliate partners when you click a product link, so the partner can credit us if you make a purchase

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which sets some of these cookies. You can read Squarespace's Cookie Policy to learn more. We use Squarespace's built-in analytics to understand how visitors use our site.

Your cookie choices: When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Choose "Manage cookies" to turn Performance and Analytics cookies or Advertising cookies on or off separately. Necessary cookies are always on because the site needs them to work. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if cookies are blocked.

Affiliate links, sponsored content, and advertising

Affiliate links. Some links on our websites, newsletter, and social media are affiliate links, including links through LTK and the Amazon Associates program. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you click, the retailer or affiliate platform may collect information about your visit and purchase under its own privacy policy. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Sponsored content. We sometimes partner with businesses and are paid or receive products for featuring them. We clearly label sponsored content. We do not share your personal data with sponsors.

Advertising. We may show ads on our websites in the future, including on the Home With Littles Hub. If we work with an advertising network that uses cookies to show ads based on your interests, we will update this policy to name it and explain how to opt out.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data.

The categories of personal data that may be shared are contact details (such as name and email), order details, and device and usage information.

We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host (Squarespace), email newsletter service, payment processor, and analytics tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Home With Littles, our users, or others.
  • Business changes, if Home With Littles is sold, merged, or transferred. Your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this policy unless you are notified otherwise.
  • With your permission, such as when you ask us to connect you with a business we feature.

Third-party links and social media

Our websites link to other sites, including local businesses, libraries, event pages, retailers, and our social media accounts on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

If you join our Facebook community group or interact with us on social media, the platform's own privacy policy applies to what you share there.

Children's privacy

Our websites and newsletter are made for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can always:

  • Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Manage cookies through our cookie banner or your browser settings.

You may also ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data, and access it
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Get a copy of your personal data in a portable format
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling (we do not currently do any of these; see below)

These rights are provided by the New Hampshire Privacy Act and similar laws in other states. We extend them to all users, regardless of where they live, subject to the exceptions the law allows.

How to make a request. Email support@homewithlittles.org with "Privacy Request" in the subject line and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, as the law allows.

How to appeal. If we say no to your request, you can ask us to take a second look by replying with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will review it again and reply within 60 days with our decision and the reason for it. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the New Hampshire Attorney General's Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau.

We will not charge you, deny you service, or treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

Sale of data, targeted advertising, and privacy signals

We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive data, such as health information, precise location, or information about a child.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for it, our sites do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. If we begin targeted advertising or any sale of personal data, we will honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control, as New Hampshire law requires, and update this policy first.

Affiliate partners and other third-party sites you visit through our links may collect information about your activity over time and across websites under their own policies.

Data retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. For example, we keep your email address while you are subscribed to our newsletter, and order records as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on trusted service providers with their own security measures. No website or email service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our websites and services change, for example when we add advertising to the Hub. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make significant changes, we may also let newsletter subscribers know by email.
